Nice rooms on the river. However over priced for what you get.
We rented a boat for a family outing. The service and staff were great, very kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place to others.
(which was actually a double wide trailer) the steps up to lodging were more than I could possibly climb. The night clerk on duty said we could move to a motel room and the maximum for the upgrade would be $10 to 15 per room, we agreed. At checkout the charge was $75 per room. The manager had one explanation, she pointed to the brochure saying the charge was up to $75 per room. She took zero responsibility for her night clerk. She was hostile and rude. Cheat me once, shame on me, cheat me twice? Well there will not be a second time. I will never set foot on the property again. I will tell all my family and friends precisely what the four of us encountered.
We stayed here for two awesome days. stayed in cottage 11 its was new and clean. lots of room in cottage. the staff was great from beginning to end. We rented a boat from here and took it to Silver Glenn Springs . The pontoon boat was nice and clean and didn't cost a lot in gas. Would definitely recommend this place for a nice getaway. We will be going back.
I guess we're the exception, the customer service was rock bottom. Watch out for "bait and switch" on the rooms. We were quoted $216 for two couples in a "cabin"
My expectations were modest but Castaways blew them away. Family had a terrific time and loved the cottage and boat. People were helpful and friendly. Turned out to be surprise highlight of family summer trip!
